Shimmer III

Shimmer III measures unframed 11 x 14 inches and is an original oil and gold leaf metal on canvas. I did a series of paintings after snorkeling with sea turtles in the Virgin Islands for a week. Shimmer best describes my feelings of delight with these encounters. This piece was created using oil glazes with walnut oil over gold leaf metal. The gold leaf metal is a composite mixture of brass, copper and zinc.

The frame is made from solid with a gold finish and the outside measurements are 16.25 x 19.25 inches. The frame is included with this painting.
