I've been working on a painting titled "The Glory of God" that has altered several times, the under painting and corrections are part of its make up now. It's been a piece that has been on and off my easel for almost 2 years. Early last month I returned to an area of this piece where off in the distance is an erupting volcano with lava flowing into the foreground. Within a couple days the volcano Kilauea erupted on the island of Hawaii.
It's not unusual for artists to predict world events. See: 5 Creepy Paintings That Predicted Real World Events. Carl Jung did say: "All art intuitively apprehends coming changes in the collective consciousness." But I don't think they are predictions, I think the art actually creates the events.
That's why I'm apologizing to Hawaii for the mess, it wasn't my intention.
